1. Overview & Core Philosophy
Omera ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed from the ground up as a 100% local, offline-first application. We firmly believe that your artwork, prompts, creative workflows, and metadata belong exclusively to you.
We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal information, images, prompts, generation parameters, or usage telemetry to our servers or any third parties.
2. Data Stored Locally On Your Device
All data generated or processed while using Omera remains entirely on your computer:
- Image Files & Folders: Read and indexed only from the directories you explicitly grant the app permission to access.
- Local SQLite Database: Saved locally in your OS application data container (e.g.
~/Library/Application Support/com.berryuiki.omeraon macOS). - Thumbnail Cache: Stored locally in your app data container for fast rendering. You can purge this at any time in the app settings.
- Preferences: Your UI preferences (language, default view, blur settings) are stored locally in your local storage.
3. Network Communications
The app only makes outbound network requests in the following user-triggered scenarios:
- Optional Model Name Resolution: If you explicitly trigger a model hash lookup, the app may query the public Civitai API or HuggingFace to fetch the model title. Only the cryptographic hash of the model is queried.
- External Links: Clicking external links (e.g. GitHub documentation, feedback issue tracker) opens your system's default web browser.
Under no circumstances does Omera transmit your images, prompts, album contents, or metadata across the network.
4. macOS App Sandbox & Permissions
Omera strictly adheres to Apple's App Sandbox guidelines. The app only accesses files and directories that you explicitly select using system file dialogs or drag-and-drop operations. The app does not request or possess unrestricted access to your file system.
5. Children's Privacy
Omera does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we update our privacy practices, we will post the revised policy on this page with an updated modification date.
